Book Club @Chez Alpha Books
Covid 19 made it happen. We had always wanted to organize a book club, but other issues and activities were always more important. Then Covid 19 came along, and the desire to read and somehow function as a community brought us together. The first meeting in February was via Zoom. In March, we cautiously came together as a small group respective Covid protocol. Join us in March as we read Maryse Conde's epic novel-SEGU.
Story Hour at Chez Alpha Books:
The Covid 19 pandemic has interrupted our monthly story hour program, but we hope to start back again in June 2021. This program is scheduled the last Saturday of each month and includes an activity. In a world of technology where children literally live with their mobile phones, PlayStation, and other video games, it is important to organize activities that inspire children to use their imagination, provide visual images that echo their life experiences, and participate collectively in activities that are good for the body, mind and soul.
