English Classes and Test Prep Available at Chez Alpha Books
Standardized test scores are required by most universities in the U.S. and some universities abroad that follow an American curriculum. International students interested in pursuing their studies in English will need to provide proof of English language proficiency with TOEFL or IELTS results. In addition, if they are applying for a Bachelor degree program they will need to take the SAT or ACT. The SAT is the most popular standardized test used for admission into colleges and universities in the United States. It includes three sections: math, critical reading, and writing. Because the majority of students we work with are interested in pursuing a master program in business, most universities will require them to provide GMAT results.
Students around the world take these tests and the focus of the test prep program at Chez Alpha Books is not to teach the test to you, but to familiarize and prepare students for the exam content and the process. Many students we work with are not experienced with multiple choice tests that also include a combination of math, critical reading, and writing persuasive essays all within a timed exam. In addition, vocabulary building, reading comprehension, writing and revising math skills are core components of the test prep programs.
